Kefala's Estate Winery is located in the "Schinies" area of Volissos in northwestern Chios, about 40 kilometers from the city of Chios. Launched in 2004, it has a capacity of 30 tonnes of wine. It has a mechanical press, a chiller, stainless steel refrigerated tanks, red winemakers and wine stabilization tanks.
Bottling and packaging of the produced wine is done with an automatic monoblock machine and an automatic capsule-labeling machine. In the basement of the Estate there is a cellar with oak barrels for the ripening of wines. The whole process of production, from the vine to the bottle, is controlled in collaboration and under the supervision of experienced Oenologist Consultant-Costas Alevizopoulos.
In the area of winemaking there is a retail wine shop, exclusively produced by the Estate. Future plans include the creation of a Wine Gallery and a tasting room to better serve the guests of the estate.
